What CroSum is
CroSum is a budgeting app for iPhone, iPad and Android that never connects to your bank. You enter what you earn and spend — about ten seconds per entry — and it works out budgets, loans, savings goals and twelve months ahead from that. All financial data stays on the device.
Most budgeting apps now run through a third-party aggregator that receives your bank login and your entire transaction history. CroSum inverts that, and it is the whole reason the app exists.

Claims you can verify yourself
iCulture named CroSum its Dutch App of the Month for August 2026, in “App Gemist augustus 2026” (30 August 2026). The article →
The App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected”. That is Apple's own determination, visible on the App Store page itself.

On iPhone and iPad there is no CroSum account. Premium hangs off the Apple Account already on the device, so nothing reaches us. For completeness, because it differs by platform: on Android the app works without an account, but buying Premium creates one free account so the subscription survives a reinstall. It holds the subscription status and nothing else.
Sync goes to storage the user already owns — their own iCloud on iPhone and iPad, their own Google Drive on Android. The developer has no access to it, and there is no server holding users' financial data.
And the caveat that belongs with it: the Exodus scan is static analysis against a list of already-known trackers. It is a scan, not an audit, and it describes the version that was scanned. More on that, and every permission the app asks for explained one by one, is on the privacy proof page.
